Prakash Deep is a non-governmental, non-profit, Charitable Trust set up with the objective of reaching out to children left on the streets to fend for themselves while their parents go out to work. Our mission is to trigger an epidemic of love for these helpless, unloved, uncared for children. Prakash Deep strives to lift them out of the morass they landed in, educate them, feed them and get them to a level where they can get into the mainstream and become a resource for the country and the world at large. Prakash Deep started with seven students under the shade of an Arjun tree in May of 2003. The school has moved to different locations since then, but is still in a public park and now has more than 500 students. Children are imparted free quality education, a mid-day meal and basic medical care. The School has touched the lives of many children over the years who were part of the floating population moving from place to place in search of employment .
