October Dry Port is an inland port that speeds up the flow of cargo between ships and major land transportation networks. The port creates a central and fully equipped distribution point to facilitate the operations of freight forwarders, Egyptian importers and exporters and other shipping lines. October Dry Port Company is a joint stock company established as a special purpose vehicle in Egypt to implement the Project under a BOT structure. The SPV is owned by El Sewedy Electric, SLP for Logistic Properties and Schenker Egypt. The Project is the 1st Dry Port in Egypt under Public Private Partnership.
