Hyde Park United Methodist Church is a warm-hearted, open-minded congregation in Tampa, FL. For more than 116 years, we have been dedicated to sharing the love of God within our own congregation, the Tampa community and around the world. We are a diverse body of believers, united by our beliefs, known to live our mission to Make God’s Love Real, through ministries to and with members, guests, our community and world. All are welcome to experience God’s love and grace. We invite all to learn and grow with us on the “Discipleship Pathway” — the way we deepen our relationship with Christ and the church, beginning with our five different Sunday services, which embrace both traditional and contemporary worship. Members are also actively involved in many small group activities including groups for adults, missions and outreach, care and support ministries, as well as dynamic children’s and youth programs. Our Mission: Hyde Park United Methodist Church is a community of people committed to Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, united in the love of God, and called to make that love real to others. Our Vision: Transforming lives, creating Christian community, and healing our city and the world. Hyde Park United Methodist is one church with two campuses. Our Hyde Park campus is located on the site of the church’s original gathering place and offers Sunday morning worship as well as children’s and youth ministries. The Portico, our downtown campus, ministers to the downtown Tampa community through groups, music and meditation, with Sunday worship scheduled to begin in Sept. 2016.
