JVST is an award-winning office for urbanism, architecture and research, based in Holland and Iceland. Founded in 2012, it is run by two partners: Jaakko van 't Spijker and Orri Steinarsson. The office designs and realizes high-quality urban masterplans, buildings (housing as well as offices and public buildings) and interiors in which people take center-stage. JVST works for a large range of predominantly professional clients, both in the public and private sectors. In 2021, the office celebrated its 10-year anniversary by appointing three associate partners - Ilse Janmaat, Madeleine Mans and Jesse Wijnen - and by opening a branch in Reykjavík, of which Hildur Gunnlaugsdóttir is the managing director.
