Brushstroke has been established for nearly 3 decades at Shepperton Studios and Pinewood, offering professional training in make-up and hair for film, TV, stage and fashion. We offer BTEC and ITEC qualification diploma courses as well as shorter specialised courses. We have an excellent reputation for employment-ready training that creates professional make-up artists able to work across the entertainment industry. Our training is open to all age ranges including school leavers (eg age 16) as well as mature students. Our tutors are all make-up and/or hair artists - specialists in their own right and bringing fresh relevant ideas to our training. Brushstroke facilities are set within the working complex of Shepperton Studios, comprising customised rooms and workshops for make-up, wig work and special effects. We also have an HD photographic studio so students can experience an 'on-set' environment as well as create their own portfolios. We work closely with the industry and are constantly developing our offering to ensure our students receive the best and most relevant make-up training. For example, hair-related skills are taught on every course because we know the fully rounded make-up artist is the most employable. All Brushstroke students receive life-long career support including free training, ongoing promotion of their achievements and continued access to work opportunities that arise through our industry contacts.
