Our first branch was opened over 40 years ago, 1 May 1977, by our owner, Mr Richard Gelb, in Pinelands. We have 2 branches in the Cape Town Area: Pinelands – which is predominantly a corporate office, specialising in Corporate Travel Management , however, still provides a service to leisure clientele. Durbanville – which is home to our sporting and group division, Penthouse Travel Sporting Tours, www.runningtours.co.za - which specialize in local and international running events e.g. New York Marathon, London Marathon, Comrades Marathon and Two Oceans Marathon etc (to name a few). In 1999, Travelways (pty) Ltd joined the Sure Consortium – the largest franchise for independently owned Travel Agencies, in Southern Africa. We have our own reliable, professional shuttle service, mainly offering airport transfers within the Cape Peninsula, are IATA licenced, belonging to the Association of South African Travel Agents (ASATA).
