New Vision Organization Inc.
www.newvisionorg.orgNew Vision Organization (NVO) is a national prisoner’s rights advocacy organization 501(c)(3) founded in 2004. NVO provides a comprehensive range of services for prisoners and their families during the rehabilitation, release and re-entry process. Our other services include after-release support, education, employment and housing referrals and resources, and pro bono legal advocacy. Services involve the participation of volunteers, including law students and public relations professionals, as well as prison staff, the incarcerated and their families. NVO also seeks to establish higher standards of moral conduct for the treatment of prisoners, and works to eliminate prison crime and reunite families separated by prison. We do this in part, by educating the public about prison abuse and deprivation, medical neglect, and lack of rehabilitative and therapeutic programs; and by partnering and networking with other groups and organizations nationwide, to ensure the rights of prisoners are upheld. To date, NVO has served upward of 500 prisoners and their families both nationally and globally.
