National ICT Awards – NBQSA is the only National ICT competition in Sri Lanka which has been organized since 1998 to showcase and recognise the innovations of individuals and organizations for their outstanding contribution to the development of ICT Industry in Sri Lanka. It has provided a unique platform of opportunity to display and benchmark local ICT talents to the business industry and the world. The event is annually organized by the BCS The Chartered Institute for IT Sri Lanka Section (BCSSL). The primary objectives of NBQSA are: o to provide recognition for outstanding achievements of individuals and organizations in Sri Lanka who/which have contributed to the development of ICT, o to create a window to gain international recognition for locally developed ICT products, o to improve standards and the quality of local ICT products and services to excel & compete in the local and international markets o to provide a platform for investors, customers, and service providers to recognise local ICT innovations & talents Over the years, NBQSA has been supported by : BCS the Chartered Institute for IT (BCS), relevant Government Ministries, Industry Associations, and Public & private sector organisations by way of assistance to organise the event or partner BCSSL in funding NBQSA annually.
