The Afro Health Initiative (AHI) was founded by a group of young millennial professionals with various health-related backgrounds, and who identified a gap in health systems across sub-Saharan Africa especially in the ways in which the diaspora can contribute and help drive the development. AHI as an organisation aims to establish a strong network with healthcare-focused diaspora in the UK to provide support through networking events, project placements, and in-house healthcare solutions. As budding entrepreneurs ourselves with a keen interest and passion for the African healthcare sector we have an in-depth understanding of the challenges in navigating and implementing new healthcare solutions in Africa.
