In 2003 SAKRET Ltd. was founded - 100% Latvian company. Currently Chairman of the Supervisory Board of JSC Sakret Holdings Dipl. Ing. M. Sc. Chem. Andris Vanags, with previous experience in the field as a customer service director of JSC “Broceni” (now SIA “SCHWENK Latvija”), started to form a new team. Step by step, he convinced for the new idea and attracted industry professionals to the so far unknown SAKRET - Iveta Laumane, a leading technologist and Juris Grīnvalds, a commercial technologist, started working at the company and still do. Construction of its own production plant started in 2004, because before that SAKRET only imported products from Germany. More than 4 million euro were invested in construction and the capacity of the built factory was 100 thousand tons. In 2005, the company was authorized to use the CE mark, which certifies that the entire production process complies with EU requirements. In 2006, further investments were made to increase the capacity of the plant. SAKRET established a branch in Estonia in 2005, and already in year 2007 the factory with a capacity of 150 thousand tons per year was opened there. At that time, this was the first capital investment by a Latvian company of production in Estonia. With the aim of covering the entire Baltic market, SAKRET opened a representative office in Lithuania in 2006 and started building a production facility there the following year. Lithuanian plant with a capacity of 250 thousand tons per year was the second largest Latvian investment in Lithuania. In early 2009, SAKRET conducted testing tests on its materials and other manufacturers' products in accordance with the certification document ETAG 004, developed by EOTA (www.eota.eu), which ensures the compatibility and quality of the heat insulation system’s product. Turnover of SAKRET in 2018 was almost 21.3 million euro. The company continues its development and work on new products and materials is never stopped.
