Victor Vaissier was founded in 1889 by Monsieur Vaissier, when he succeeded his family business, and consequently opened the first Vaissier store on Boulevard 4, Place de l’Opera in Paris. M. V. Vaissier was a well travelled man and much of the inspiration behind the various parfums were sourced from his trips to the Congo, Japan and Samos Islands to name a few. The brand quickly grew in popularity and became the official supplier to the King of Belgium, the court of Romania as well as the Russian Tsar. After M.Vaissier death in 1922, with no children to succeed him, the brand slowly faded into the past and forgotten for many years. In 2014 our CEO Pål Hodann stumbled across the brand in the form of an antique soap box in the renouned Parisian flea market Porte de Vanves. The history of the brand inspired Pål, and himself the entrepeneur like Victor Vaissier, acquired the brand and made the unlikely career change from finance to the lifestyle & care products industry. Today Victor Vaissier sells its soaps & lifestyle products to various high-end retailers in Scandinavia and beyond.
