The Western New York Healthcare Association (WNYHA) was founded in 1931 as the regional advocate for hospitals and other healthcare organizations in the eight counties of Western New York. The association's core membership was comprised of 24 hospitals and health systems, their affiliated nursing facilities, as well as associate members who are home care agencies, hospices, and other healthcare-related organizations. The WNY Healthcare Association was a center for health information in Western New York, seeking to establish Western New York as the healthiest community in the United States while assisting members in maintaining an efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality healthcare system throughout the eight-county area of Western New York. The WNY Healthcare Association was affiliated with the Healthcare Association of New York State and the American Hospital Association and was in operation through October 2020.
