Trainor Dance was founded by Caitlin Trainor in 2011 with a focus on interdisciplinary work, and has performed on both sides of the Atlantic in conjunction with visual art, text, music and film. The company creates highly musical, structurally-driven work with a social conscience. With signature athleticism and luscious movement, Trainor Dance is best known for its intelligent and imaginative style, and for addressing wide-ranging topics with curiosity, passion, humor, and verve. The mission of Trainor Dance is to use movement as a playground for ideas that provoke, inspire, and enlighten. We create work that strongly connects the dancers with audience, and awakens the viewer's senses by use of visual, musical and kinetic elements. Through our diverse corps of dancers and drawing audiences with wide ranging perspectives, we aim to create a community through shared in-person experiences, conversation, and education.
