WKNC 88.1 FM HD-1/HD-2 is student-run non-commercial college radio from N.C. State University. Under the direction of a student general manager with the assistance of a staff adviser, the WKNC student staff consistently earns local accolades from Independent Weekly newsmagazine and national awards from College Broadcasters, Inc., College Media Advisers, the Associated Collegiate Press and Society for Collegiate Journalists. Paid and volunteer positions include station programming, production, public affairs, social media, event planning and engineering.
