Campacchio Fine Foods
www.campacchio.com.auThe Campacchio journey began in earnest in 2008 with the aspiration, foresight and vision of these passionate and hard working gastronomical farmers to create products that were truly unique, ideally suited to the local environments, produced and presented to the market as close to their natural state as possible, maximising the true paddock to plate experience. A combination of hands on practical experience and the formal studying of Agriculture, the owners; Scott and Regina, enjoy the diversity and freedom their farm has to offer, this passion and love resulted in the creation of Campacchio Fine Foods, in the most ecological and sustainable manner. Regina’s passion for the production and preparation of good quality food comes from her families long association with the richness that Southern Italian ancestory has to offer, with many members of her family continuing to produce quality products within the Riverina Area of NSW. Owning farms around the Gunning Shire and Southern Tablelands Region, both Scott and Regina came to settle in the locality of Wamboin, NSW, following the selection of a site which presented the optimal characteristics for the production of their harvest. The soils at Wamboin are generally poorer, with a mix of shale and clays, whilst the vegetation was primarily made up of pine trees and acres of undulating stunning yellow box gums. Being exposed and surrounded by gastronomical delights of the local region, this provides abundant inspiration to the Campacchio’s, these passionate farmers tended toward unique and complimentary food products that their forefathers had produced. Creations well-matched to their environs and of course favoured and enjoyed by the owners!
