George Cross Football Club was established on March 12th 1947. In the early 1980’s after settling in Sunshine, the club merged with Sunshine City which resulted in a name change and Sunshine George Cross was born. In 1984, Sunshine George Cross competed in the NSL, this continued on for eight seasons until 1991; the club then joined the Premier League until 2013. During this time, the club hosted a successful junior program at Dobson Reserve in Sunshine. In 2020, the club will play in the Victorian State League Division 1, this will be a great opportunity for the club to re-establish itself in an exciting new facility amongst an ever-growing community.
