Based in Socorro, NM, Detecht provides monitoring and instrumentation services for construction and blasting projects across the United States.  Our team has over 17 years combined experience in the blasting and explosives fields, applying advanced academic degrees in mining, civil, and mechanical engineering with focus in explosives applications and effects.  We are proud to advance the knowledge of the blasting and explosives industries through on-going research performed in conjunction with consulting projects.  Detecht's founders have 10 peer-reviewed publications and have given numerous talks at conferences with the International Society of Explosives Engineers (ISEE), Society of Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration (SME), and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), among others. Detecht specializes in unique instrumentation applications to protect structures, critical infrastructure, and the environment near blasting and construction projects.  Our consultants work with blasters, engineers, project owners, and stakeholders to complete difficult projects in a safe and cost effective manner while protecting historic buildings, buried utilities, and wildlife.  We also provide 3rd party, photographic documentation of structure conditions and records of baseline vibration/noise levels to address stakeholder concerns or fulfill project specifications.
