All families want a better life for their children. Having a college degree, or some type of further education or training, is fundamental to getting ahead in today’s world. Though numerous students qualify for financial aid, many families are still hard-pressed to keep up with the ever-increasing financial challenge of sending their children to college. Bootstraps assists families in alleviating some of this financial challenge. Since 1945, Bootstraps has awarded almost $4 million in scholarships and interest-free loans to over 1,900 students! The mission of Bootstraps, in partnership with the community, is to support the continuing education of promising students in the mountain area, with an emphasis on financial need.
