HGC was established in 2004 to provide specialist security management to the Gold Mining Industry. Because of the value of Gold, its complex processing methods and the mining environment, specialist skills are required to mitigate the risk of theft. HGCs implementation of security controls are based on sound Risk Management Principals and not the “one shoe fits all approach”. Security must be measured, implemented and maintained in a method not to impend the day to day operations of the site. This is a unique balancing act of Risk versus Controls versus Operation Requirements. Every mine is unique and HGC has the experience throughout the globe working from pre-feasibility to closure projects to achieve a quality outcome for all stakeholders.
