Rappresenta e assiste bar, ristoranti, pizzeria, gelaterie, pasticcerie, discoteche, stabilimenti balneari, ma anche mense, ristorazione multilocalizzata, emettitori buoni pasto e casinò. Conta circa 1 milione di addetti ed un valore aggiunto di oltre 40 miliardi di euro. Il Presidente è Lino Enrico Stoppani. At national level, FIPE is a member of Confcommercio (Italian General Confederation of Trade, Tourism and Services) which is the main organization in the tertiary sector and, togheter with other associations, represents the Tourism Industry (Confturismo). At European level, Fipe belongs to Hotrec, the European trade association of hotels, restaurants and cafés).
