Island Seafoods Ltd was established in 1986. It is a proudly Irish family owned and run business with a truly hands-on approach to business. Located in the popular fishing village of Killybegs, Co. Donegal, its fish is fully traceable from net to fork! Their premium healthy catch ranges from mackerel, herring, sprat and blue whiting and they export a few thousand tonnes of bulk product per year. New to market is a range of Smoked Mackerel infused with Ginger, Chilli and Lime or Honey and Mustard while also producing Plain Smoked Mackerel and Peppered Mackerel. Their new range of Smoked Mackerel with glazes won the Blas Na hEireann “Seafood Innovation” award and also in August 2012 won two gold stars in the Great Taste Awards U.K.
