City University College is officially an affiliate of Ulster University, one of the UK’s top ten entrepreneurial universities also ranked in the top 200 young universities in the world. It offers recognised UK degrees here in Doha licensed by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. City University College offers alternative routes to university and work, both for full-time high-school students as well as part-time evening workers. The vocational pathway leads to a Higher National Diploma with transferable credits that allow students to further proceed with a final year of university study (Ulster University Option). The Diploma is accredited by the Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) in the UK. Programmes offered at City University College include: Business and Computing. City University College also offers, through its partner, Ulster University Qatar, a BSc (Honours) degree in Business Studies. Students can progress from Grade 12 high school to the international foundation year and proceed with their academic university route with Ulster, or choose to take the vocational route. After finishing their Higher National Diploma, students can transfer to a third year of study and still get their BSc degree from Ulster University, with a possibility to transfer their credits to a university of their choice within a list of 339 universities worldwide.
