Verum GI has discovered several novel biomarkers in the gastrointestinal area. We are developing simple, accurate & rapid tests with applications for the detection & prediction of appendicitis, upper & lower GI bleeding, & small intestinal & stomach cancer. AppendiSURE, our simple, affordable, clinically-effective appendicitis screening test gets proven results in minutes at the point of care. For the first time, health professionals will have a reliable tool to save lives in physical crisis and promote patient health and healing. AppendiSure is currently being developed in a laboratory test format with 324 clinical samples. The current format AppendiSURE test detects appendicitis in a blood sample by using a specific monoclonal antibody raised to detect a unique biomarker. This biomarker has been found only in the blood of patients diagnosed with Appendicitis and is absent in patients who do not have appendicitis.
