The College Women’s Association of Japan (CWAJ) is a not-for-profit volunteer organization made up of Japanese and non-Japanese women with common interests and goals. Since its inception in 1949, women have worked together to further the primary mission of CWAJ, the provision of scholarship. Members, who come from 25 nations, are paired in a unique Co-Chair system that partners Japanese and non-Japanese women to head each working committee. This system allows for friendships to form as women experience fun and satisfaction working toward a common goal.
