JDC Central is a team-based, academic case study competition that attracts more than 500 of the brightest students in Eastern Canada. Competitors participate in academic case simulations, a debate competition, athletic, social, and spirit events throughout a fast-paced and competitive weekend. JDC Laurier’s pride, dedication, and wealth of superior talent has resulted in eight first place finishes and a top three free finish in all but one year of the 11 that the competition has run. JDCC Laurier students represent Lazaridis on the world stage and have placed top three in 12 of the last 15 competitions it has done, beating universities ranked top 25 in the world.
