Energy Job Search Team

www.myejst.org

The Energy Job Search Team of Houston (EJST) was originally begun in January 2015 by Dan Sanders, a people management professional, with a small group of professionals in transition using a virtual go-to-meeting assembly. Team members found their jobs and the meetings disbanded successfully. Then the downturn in the energy sector really hit! Dan was asked to resurrect the group, focusing on energy professionals in the Houston Galleria area. The first meeting was held in August 2015 and the group has been active since. The first EJST meeting started in Dan’s Memorial area office with a few people. Then, as the group grew, it expanded to his conference room then the nearby Le Peep restaurant, growing again to the Westminster United Methodist Church where it remained for about six months. Once it topped 100 active members, the group had to move one more time to its current location at Chapelwood United Methodist Church. The Energy Job Search Team is governed by a Leadership Team made up of EJST members. See the Our Team page for a list. The Leadership Team is dynamic and volunteer! When a member lands a new job, they will typically resign. Their position is then filled by another team member volunteer.
