We're a true indie publication; run by a couple who have lived in Sturminster Newton (the unofficial capital of the Blackmore Vale) for almost thirty years. We’ve worked locally, run our businesses from the town, are raising our four children here and Courtenay is Chairman of Trustees for a locally-important community health charity: we live our lives embedded in the community we're now working to connect and support. The digital BV is a slice of contemporary rural dorset life - no tabloid headlines, simply reliable news, entertaining columns and unstinting support for local independent small businesses and community causes. Alongside the insightful and in-depth local news & issues, we have a brilliant team of hugely experienced local columnists, all of whom have had great success in the wider world. We don't do print - we're only digital, fully interactive and always free.
