La Sorbettiera is a gelato shop based in Florence, Italy. We believe in authentic Italian gelato, the kind that is created in a workshop, starting from high quality, seasonal ingredients, and driven by passion and research. We are a very young and dynamic reality, which mixes classic flavors with innovative recipes. The result is a traditional yet contemporary gelato that evokes memories of the past but is also able to renew itself to share emotions, experiences, travels. We offer a variety of flavors that range from hazelnut, cream and pistachio to our original basil and lime cream, inspired to Chef Jacque Genin, our Thai flavor, made with lemongrass and coconut milk, or even our signature New England 1776 (fiordilatte base, maple syrup and candy bacon), recent winner of the #Insieme200 Gelato Contest. Thanks to our constant research for novelty and trends, we have perfected gelato recipes that respond to current food requirements, such as dietary restrictions, allergies and food intolerances, and have developed gluten-free and lactose-free flavors. The gelato of La Sorbettiera is also available for all sorts of events, from weddings to birthday celebrations or even company parties. We are able to serve up to 500 guests and will take care of every step of the process.
