HEAR Nashville stands for your Hearing Education and Assistance Resource. Our mission is to (a) provide financial assistance for low income adults and seniors who need hearing aids, and (b) provide community education about hearing loss issues. Our target region for service is middle Tennessee area. In addition to being a 501c3 registered charitable community organization, we are an all-volunteer organization. Our organization is staffed by trained volunteers, from within the community and from middle Tennessee's top universities and helps refer people to different hearing aid assistance programs and provide other clinical resources. HEAR Nashville began in 2010 as a partnership between the Sertoma Club of Nashville, the Vanderbilt Bill Wilkerson Center, the audiology section of the department of Speech and Hearing at Tennessee State University, and Bridges (for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.) Since then, we have expanded services through the support and participation of a number of Community Partners including licensed audiologists and certified hearing specialists throughout the middle Tennessee area.
