www.ui.cityThe Urban Institute Hungary (UIH) is part of a fast-growing international group [ui!] – headquartered in Chemnitz, Germany - developing Smart City solutions on three continents with presence in Germany, UK, Hungary, USA and Australia. UIH develops smart city related products and services based on disruptive technologies, mainly in the area of smart city solutions such as sustainable and community energy, smart transport, digitisation of utilities, data-driven e-governance and smart city data platforms. It implements smart city projects in close cooperation with industry partners, energy utility providers, central government agencies, municipalities and metropolitan regions in Hungary and beyond across the CEE region. It also provides business consultancy type services supporting its partners' business process improvement activities as well as custom made product and service development as early as in the business requirement definition phase. Given the interdisciplinary nature of the field, UIH works closely with the faculties of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME), including the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Transport Engineering, and maintains close scientific links with all faculties of the institution.
