Our vision: a world in which every birth is wanted Our mission: Children by choice, not chance Since 2006, Marie Stopes Ghana has been trusted to provide women with the tools needed to take control of their lives. We do this by providing voluntary and affordable sexual and reproductive healthcare services to individuals of reproductive age. Our services include family planning, safe abortion and post-abortion care as well as maternal and child health care including safe delivery and obstetrics. We also diagnosis and treat sexually transmitted infections and work hard to support prevention against HIV/AIDS. What we believe in most however is choice. We respect the right of women to decide whether and when to have children. It is about what is most suitable for each individual and for each couple; hence, we give them the information they need to make their own choices. Helping more than 115,000 women each year by providing contraception and safe abortions, Marie Stopes Ghana operates in every single region of the country. We deliver services and information to the country’s underserved communities in a number of different ways: We prize our self on our outstanding client- centered and quality delivery in all regions in Ghana, which would only be possible with our well-equipped providers and team members. We do our best to make sure our centers are well located, designed and have the right atmosphere for service delivery. Our focus is on providing all our clients with a comfortable and reassuring experience wherever and whenever they visit us. We also adopt the Marie Stopes International approach of reaching women and men who cannot afford or access services. To supplement our services, we also focus on raising sexual reproductive health awareness and increasing understanding in the communities that we work. . We currently play an ever more active role in helping to ensure that the progressive policies are understood and implemented.
