Electrochemical Devices Inc
www.edi-cp.comElectrochemical Devices, Inc. (EDI) was founded in 1986 and specializes in the design and manufacture of a variety of products for monitoring and controlling corrosion. Our primary expertise is permanent reference electrodes used for continuously monitoring the potential of a structure. Changes in potential readings alert the user to possible corrosion problems. EDI reference electrodes are designed for easy installation and have the longest demonstrated service lives in the industry. For pipelines and other underground structures the company manufactures two styles of reference electrodes with both 30 and 50 years’ design life. These are available with either Ag/AgCl or Cu/CuSO4 gelled elements. EDI recently introduced a patented cathodic protection coupon that provides an IR free potential reading without interrupting the cathodic protection current. This product is used in conjunction with our reference electrodes where there is remote monitoring. EDI offers other specialty products that satisfy unique service requirements. Included are impressed current anodes - linear distributed, probe type and low profile - as well as a unique low output constant current rectifier/anode package. In addition, we develop custom products to meet the requirements of a particular application. We maintain an active new products development program that has resulted in the commercial introduction of several products that are unique to the cathodic protection industry.
