We also take a lot of time and precision to make sure the quantities we produce match the demand, so nothing is wasted. We’re plasticfree: We use metal tins which are widely recyclable and can be kept and used for multiple purposes. Our paper and cardboard stick are also highly biodegradable. Waterless: Sol de Ibiza is commited to avoid water scarcity and at the same time being better for your health. From 2019 we have decided to give 1% of all our sales to Ibiza Preservation Fund, to environmentally protect Ibiza and Formentera. Chemical sunscreens have ingredients that may potentially cause health problems. According to some recent researches they seep through the skin into the bloodstream after only a couple hours. These chemicals persist in the blood for up to seven days and exceed, by up to 40 times, the allowed limits. Our filter: Zinc oxide is the best of the two mineral sunscreen because it is truly a broad-spectrum blocker. That means it protects you and your family from both UVA and UVB rays. While a nanoparticle will potentially enter your bloodstream, a non-nano particle won’t. For that reason, non-nano is considered safer. Plus, nano-sized particles are so small that they could be ingested by aquatic organisms, and we don’t want that either.
