The Yale component of the Connecticut Emerging Infections Program was established in 1995 and is located in the Yale School of Public Health. The Connecticut Emerging Infections Program is a collaboration between the State of Connecticut Department of Public Health, the Yale School of Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The goals of the program are to assess the public health impact of emerging and re-emerging infections and to evaluate methods for their prevention and control.
