Kashmir Basket is an E-commerce platform dedicated to the endangered arts of the Kashmir Valley. Namda Art, Carpet Craft, Kashmiri Chain-stitch (Tille), Papier Mache, and more. It also lists native eatables including dry fruits, spices, apples, and more. The backlashes of political turmoil clubbed with Covid havoc have crippled Kashmir Arts. Artisans find it hard to make a living out of the artworks. Most of them have stopped making or practicing, to find better work that can help them earn the bread. Kashmir Basket aims at bridging the gap between art and aesthetes. KB aims at expanding the reach of the dying arts and looks forward to reviving them by blending in modern technology to enhance their visibility and recognition. KB aims to support the artisans and growers, longing for the travel and tourism community to see their art and recognize the effort that goes into it, with hope in their tired eyes and dirt in their worn hands. Most importantly, KB shall give them hope to pass the art onto the next generation knowing well that their art will be loved and taken care of.
