Spartan Racing Electric is a student-led organization that pushes the boundaries of electric vehicles through designing and manufacturing a formula-style electric race car. Through this process, our members are shaped to apply their technical skills in a collaborative setting and deliver an electric vehicle within a realistic production cycle. This includes working within the confines of established rules, justification of the designs, and scrupulous research and testing. In addition, members also must critically analyze variables that may arise, as well as finding creative solutions to overcome them. Being a part of the Spartan Racing Electric team illustrates their dedication to being part of a long-term project with all its frustrations and glories. They will gain first-hand experiences with respect to their field and the nuances that are not typically taught within their academic discipline. Thus, preparing every team member to be a competitive individual in the engineering labor force.
