Katie Leikam got her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Georgia State University, her Master’s of Social Work from the University of Georgia and she recently got her Master’s of Business Administration from Mercer University. She has been working as a therapist since 2012 and has been working in community social work for 16 years. Katie Leikam serves the LGBTQIA, transgender, non-binary and genderqueer community with mental health wellness. She works with her clients on gender identity, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, family and religious trauma, and coming out to others. She is licensed to see clients that live in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and North Carolina. Katie is also a speaker and educator, speaking at Gender Odyssey Los Angeles, The Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference and The National Trans health Conference as well as the United States Association of Transgender Health. She provides continuing education and certifications about topics of gender identity and LGBTQIA mental wellness and business development through her in person and online continuing education and certificate programs as well as her online courses, The Clinician’s LGBTQ Learning Platform. She is passionate about building businesses and consulting with business leaders and HR managers to reach their goals of having a having a diverse, LGBTQ affirming business and also holds a MBA in Marketing from Mercer University, which she uses as a consultant to small businesses, universities and corporations.
