Dear Asian Youth London (DAYLDN) is a youth-led, UK-based chapter of the international non-profit organisation Dear Asian Youth. Founded in late 2020, DAYLDN's mission is to empower British Asian youth and communities. DAYLDN seeks to provide diverse, educational and empowering content based on the British Asian experience. We aim to empower British Asian youth and communities, and educate the public through providing a platform for British Asian voices, lived experiences and creative expression. We hope to encourage the enfranchisement of all Asian communities within the UK and ultimately to fight our misrepresentation in mainstream media. Our presence allows us to shift conversations, promote independent British Asian businesses and creators, alongside contributing to social movements such as #StopAsianHate. Through the vulnerable and honest work of our community, we aim to reconstruct the narrative of what it means to be British Asian.
