A newborn child is a wonder and pregnancy is the most beautiful time in a woman’s life. Photographing newborn infants and creating maternity portraits are a source of joy for me. As a Chicago Photographer I have an extensive history photographing newborns, infants and toddlers beginning with my work for Gerber Baby Food national ads with J Walter Thompson Advertising forty years ago. Through the years I have done extensive photography featuring babies for national ad use by such corporations as McDonald’s (Happy Meal advertisements and in-store posters), Mam Pacifiers featuring newborn infants and toddlers, General Mills Cereals, Kellogg’s Cereals, Pampers and many other companies that feature infant and toddler photographs in their marketing. The Key to Successful Newborn Photography Is Patience. Babies definitely have their own personalities, but as parents quickly learn, they also follow their own schedule. Beautiful baby photography often requires more patience than you might suspect. The photographer who can capture that fleeting moment of exceptional beauty or an amazingly funny expression on a newborn infant's face, can consistently capture a photograph that will live forever.
