I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and the founder of District Counseling LLC. I have more than six years of experience working with families, individuals, children, and adolescents in various settings including non-profits, child welfare organizations, foster care sites, criminal justice situations, schools, and direct therapy circumstances. Throughout my work in the District of Columbia and Maryland, I have prided myself on providing excellent service to my clients; this dedication to my clients led to the opening of District Counseling LLC. My therapeutic approach is solution-focused and client-centered. I provide care to individuals and families. It is my goal to help people develop a better understanding of the factors that contribute to their stress, worries, anxiety, and concerns. This improved understanding can lead to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, improved decision making, and a significant reduction in feelings of distress. I received my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Florida A&M University and my Masters from Howard University School of Social Work.
