Cacaolab bv is an R&D company focusing on innovation and training from bean to praline. Cacaolab delivers in an international context support to companies varying from SMEs to big multinationals in the chocolate manufacturing and processing industry, but also to B2B ingredient manufacturers in for instance the oils & fats, dairy and sugar industry as well as to processing equipment manufacturers. This support is strongly focused on research opportunities related to the functionality of raw materials and ingredients, processing technologies and storage conditions eventually leading to incremental product and process improvements or development of innovative processes and products. Cacaolab has a small-scale experimental production facility to make cocoa, chocolate and confectionery products on a lab or pilot scale and has developed an extended analytical toolbox for cocoa- and chocolate-related research. In addition, the company provides training to cocoa, chocolate and confectionery producers worldwide.
