Wikimedia Czech Republic is a non-governmental organisation registered in 2008. The organisation's priority is to help develop the Czech Wikipedia, but it also has more a general purpose, i.e. to support the free culture in the Czech Republic and improve the availability of general and scientific information for the public, as well as to foster innovations in education. Our organisation directly cooperates with the Wikimedia Foundation, an American non-profit which hosts Wikipedia and all its sister projects.
