Founded in December 1 2015, the Southern California Sports Club is based out of San Bernardino, CA. The SoCal SC will compete in the West Region’s Southwest Conference of the National Premier Soccer League. Very young, but with a lot of ambition, the club led by Dave Elmore and Daniel Gamba is focused on becoming a reference in the development of athletes. Dave Elmore founded the Elmore Sports Group in 1969 and since 1991 has served the on the Joint Committee of the National Association of Professional Baseball. Working with other owners, Baseball America has recognized Elmore as a unique leader among minor league team owners after finding solutions afflicted minor and major league teams. Gamba serves as the CEO of the Professional Sports Network, and has been related to soccer since childhood, having played for several youth clubs teams in Brazil and Argentina. Also, he has played ate the collegiate level in the United States. For the last 12 years he has been involved with soccer professionally at a management level. Although the Elmore Sports Group focus have been mainly in baseball, the partnership with Gamba allowed the group to explore key opportunities in soccer. The Southern California Sports Club is the second team that they will own together. The Elmore Sports Group already owns a minor baseball team in the region and operates a local stadium. The club practices and plan to host its home matches at the San Bernardino Soccer Complex (SBSC), a 47-acre facility with 17 top-quality playing fields that has been under the Elmore Sports Group for just over a month. The complex has served as the site for the USYSA Regional Championship, the Tie Cup, Olympic Development Program training and as the headquarter for state and national cups as well.
