La Huerta de Elisa is Mexico’s first all-natural baby food company focused on native fruits, vegetables & grains. We are a parent founded and operated organization, looking to address two issues with the existing baby food industry: i) regulatory standards in Mexico are very low, and as a result, companies can still include additives such as sugar, sodium & modified starch; ii) Mexico’s baby food industry is dominated by two foreign companies that sell the same mainstream recipes (i.e. apple, banana, pear); meanwhile, native Mexican foods such as avocado, pitahaya and amaranth are increasingly recognized abroad for their nutritional value, many marketed as “Superfoods”. So we created the first locally-inspired, all-natural (and by year-end, organic) Mexican baby food company. In collaboration with nutritionists, our baby food products are made to provide the nutrients that children REALLY need, using delicious native Mexican ingredients, and always without additives!
