Cametics is a research and development SME in Cambridge and we focus on creating novel solutions in materials science. We provide our clients and development partners an expertise in using or introducing nanomaterials into thier technology, with a specific focus on nanocarbons such as graphene or carbon nanotubes. We create metal matrix or polymer matrix nanocomposites which can provide improved properties like strength or toughness or we can impart new properties such as electrical or thermal conductivity into more typical technologies, such as coatings adhesives. Cametics also undertake internal developments with aim to create industrially novel solutions. For example, we hold a unique IP for the soldering alloy C-Solder, which can solder carbon, solder aluminium and solder ceramic. C-solder is used to bond difficult or dissimilar materials to create high strength joints with high electrical and thermal conductivity.
