Castor Optics, a strategic partner of Thorlabs, is developing a new line of double-clad fiber optic couplers. These optical properties allow double-clad fiber couplers to function as an alternative to free-space beamsplitting optical systems in many experiments. For example, they have been used to combine OCT imaging with fluorescence imaging, and for speckle-free single fiber endoscopy.
