The America Nepal Society (ANS) is a Nepalese-American-owned and operated nonprofit organization dedicated to charitable, literary, and educational activities surrounding the Nepalese-American experience and culture shared between these identities. Over the years, ANS has organized hundreds of events and activities in the greater DMV area aimed at fostering greater public knowledge and understanding of Nepalese literature, arts, cultures, values, manners, social customs, and other areas of shared connection among Americans and Nepalese in the United States. ANS’ mission is to work together to strengthen bonds between American and Nepalese people. Since its establishment in 1967, ANS has acted as one of the most prominent nonprofit organizations focused on Nepalese culture in the United States.
