In February 2004, a 27-year old Canadian-born Antonio Romeo opened a small business to sell Monster Cable products out of his basement in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. Let's be clear, this was a much nicer space than how Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak started Apple out of the garage of Job's parents' home. Antonio started slowly and over the years built out four individual home theater rooms in his basement - one for each brand CapitalSound represented at the time: 1. Klipsch Room, 2. Kef Room, 3. Paradigm Room, and 4. Martin Logan Room. CapitalSound.ca was born. Antonio's vision was to establish a laid back AV business with Italian Hospitality and Service. When clients come for an appointment he always makes it a point to greet everyone, and always offers a complimentary top-shelf drink, glass of wine, homemade Italian sopressata, Italian bread and finish off with an espresso corretto. It's a more friendly and relaxed environment to discuss what's most important for our client's next home theater or HiFi system. Client's become friends and they end up getting a great deal known in Ottawa as "The Antonio Price". In 2017, Antonio moved CapitalSound into a commercial retail space located in the heart of Ottawa's Little Italy. In 2018 CapitalSound becomes Canada's first full-line Klipsch Heritage Boutique. In 2019 CapitalSound becomes the exclusive dealer for Steinway Lyngdorf - The World's Finest Sounding Loudspeakers In 2020 CapitalSound becomes the North American distributor for Music Note Loudspeakers and Cables.
