Artists in Transit is a UK based grassroots community organisation that brings creative workshops to communities in times of hardship. We are run entirely by a dedicated team of volunteers and have delivered art workshops to refugee children and young people in Athens since 2015. Since the global pandemic and restrictions on our movements, we pivoted to a localised program to deliver art workshops and bring resources to families across London. In 2020 we successfully delivered 463 art packs, 4 live art workshops, 8 art challenges, 2 'Black Lives Matter' workshops and 100's of Zoom calls. Our Aims are to bring together a network of artists and volunteers who work to deliver creative workshops to people in times of hardship. We advocate for solidarity within the communities we work in and promote solidarity through the sharing of skills and joint experience.
