What is a Survival Capsule? A Survival Capsule is a Personal Safety System. The concept of a personal safety system was developed by Survival Capsule LLC in response to several tragic Tsunami events globally, including Sendai, Japan. The capsule has been designed and developed by an Aerospace Engineering consultancy based in Seattle, WA, USA. Initially the Survival Capsule was entered into a NASA sponsored Innovation competition in 2011 and placed 9th out 355 entries. Since then, interest in the design has grown rapidly not just in the USA but globally.
